About Bob Whitley
Bob
Whitley is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Phillips High
School
in Birmingham in 1966. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham
and graduated in 1970 with a degree in History and Secondary Education.
After teaching High School History for a year, Bob began
his Military Service in the United States Army National Guard. Subsequent to graduation
from college he became a manager for a large paint distributor and was later hired by his
largest customer as his Superintendent in 1975.
Bob Whitley began his business Bob Whitley Decorating, Inc. in 1977. Word of mouth has always been his preferred
method of advertisement. His work has been featured in The Birmingham News,
Southern Living, Portico and many other publications. One of his proudest projects was the
restoration of the Birmingham Downtown Public Library -- "a work of art
and history combined".
Over the last 36 years Bob has selectively hired only the most
professional and quality workmen available to make the standard of work the best
in the Birmingham area. He has compiled a fine team of artistic painters and
talented master carpenters. Bob works for customers and with individual professional
interior designers.
